JSP/JAVA SUPPORT!!! There is no commercial html editor with good support for JSP/Java beans. Now that Macromedia has bought Allaire, there is no excuse for not having full JSP2.0/Servlet2.3 (or if possible all other J2EE technologies) support in version 5(btw, when is this version expected??)

This may have been mentioned but I'll say it again. A nice debugger for us programmers who are transitioning to the web. I've been spoiled by the new RAD tools like JBuilder and like to be able to halt my programs at point of execution to test variable values and debug the logic. If UD 4 does this will someone tell me how?<img src=../images/dmxzone/forum/icon_smile.gif border=0 align=middle>

I would like to see integration with a third party FTP program such as Cute. The current version is too slow and some of us prefer our own programs anyway.

I would also like better organisation of the extensions. It is so easy to add lots of extensions and end up with a long server behaviours menu.

Another feature would be to put up an Oreileys reference book on SQL. This will be so helpful for those of us who are not so hot with SQL.

Cute FTP is a known SPY-WARE program. Keep using it, ignorance is bliss!

There is alot of things I would like to see in UD5 :

1. Full PHP Support & debugging environment.

2. JSP Debugging environment.

3. Cleaner Codes for JSP and white paper on how UD works with it's different language supports ( Java Methodes ,Objects , Beans etc... )

4. doPOST & doGET functions for JSP

5. Complete development environment for java beans.

6. Full interface for getParameter function.

7. Interface for Multiple Encryption aglorithms such as AES , DES, TripleDES & BlowFish to use with DataBases etc...

8. A 'Printer Friendly' Object that generate HTML or PDF format.

9. Full JRUN Configuration interface for
creating application without connecting to jrun server.

10. Full IBM WebSphere 4.0.1 Configuration interface or an extension for it.

11. Development environment for portlets that use IBM WebSphere Portal Server 1.2, JetSpeed etc...

12. The ability to combine simple SQL queries with Complexe queries or juste a text box for those who wish to code their queries for god knows what reason.

13. The ability to program automated scripts by pressing a record button and save a series of actions done with UD, save the automated script and use it as an object.

14. Extension development environment.

15. The ability to intergrate Java APIs as a behaviour or whatever.

16. The ability to also comunicate with LDAP servers such as Critical Pass or IBM Secure Way.

17. Better FTP utility.

18. UML intergration for JavaBean Development environment.

19. Linux Version of the Software.

20. Complete E-Commerce Suite for all supported languages.

21. Development environment for cookies.

22. Now that Macromedia has bought Allaire and all it's products , they should intergrate a little application server & a web server just like a the JVM concept, for all supported languages, so that developpers can preview their work easier.

23. For expert developpers, a manual developpment environment in order to customize pages with our own functions based on our JavaBeans, APIs.

24. FTP Client: Ability to change Permissions on remote server.

25. A developpment environment for DataBases such as MySQL, Oracle & PostgresSQL in order to start a project by using UD directly.

26. The ability to use generate dynamic Flash sites without having to use Generator, according to whatever technologie is being used, jsp, php, asp, cfml, curl, perl, cgi, sgi& servlets etc...

27. Project Management Interface to concieve project descriptions so that the project manager can communcicate his or clients ideas, seperating project management & developpement, saving time for the developpers working on one same project & Project Manager.

I'm running out of ideas so I think that's it for now, I'll think about the rest tonight while I discuss with MaryJane <img src=../images/dmxzone/forum/icon_smile_wink.gif border=0 align=middle> .

One can do nested repeat regions, just put a ' before the offending code SQL and OLE will like it just fine...
My problem is the stupid CDO support not obvious nor well documented...

Give me NESTED REPEAT REGIONS!!!!!!!!!!! You know all ov you want this too. It's just the best thing that could happen with all of this. Also, maybe having a SQL query executed using data from another query in the same page, inside of a repeated region, or something like that. Mmmm'kay?
