I would like...

(1) A LiveObject to not stop at doing just an insert or update form, but do my whole database web application... Menus, Tables, Forms, reports. Www.softvelocity.com (Clarion) has done this since the DOS days. If they were in the web programming space, it would be tough times for UD right now.

(2) Okay... if that's too much to ask, then it would be nice if the LiveObjects Insert & Update would look at the length attribute of the database field, instead of making every control 32 characters. Client-side date validation would be nice too.

That's all for now.
Bob

Get rid of the Red Exclamation marks in the server behavior. Well, at least don't cause my code to change automatically.

If I edit some extension's code or have code automatically written for me and I change it...
LEAVE IT ALONE.

If I change it and it does not work.. That is my fault.

DO NOT let UD recreate or put back code to the orginal state.

thanks

Allow the user to be able to place Insert, Delete, Add buttons/function to the same form... as of now, you may only submit only one function.

Allow for DWUD to allow for insert, update and delete functions to occur in queryies as well as tables. A query is nothing more than a virtual table and typically databases allow the user to restrict or open up write access to the tables. Besides.. Drumbeat allowed this function, so why was it taken away.

Mac OS X native. That's it. Right now, there is nothing worthwhile on Mac OS X. Golive 6 and this is a joke as a piece of software.

If it is not too much trouble, may I please have a better thought-out FTP client so that I can change remote permissions and view remote images at design-time?

My wishlist is mostly little things that I find irritating:

- source-view windows should not reset to the top of the document after task-switching (I'm thinking of ASP files in particular)

- Cancel button on the "Do you want to update links" dialog; sometimes I just didn't mean to move the files...

- select relative or absolute paths on a per-site basis, updated if the setting changes

- remember the current directory for saving/loading/inserting on a per-site basis (how often have I saved a file from one project in the directory of another...?)

- turning off notes actually turns off *all* the notes, including the _notes folder in the site root; failing that, move the notes out of the site folder

- DW javascript functions in an external script file - I currently use my own external libraries instead, but the best of both worlds would be nice...

If you could make the source view inaffected by the messenger popups cause while working it would be disturbing to have the source view disappear from in front of you or at least make it become inactive but dont hide it away. thank you

I would really like it if you are creating a rs in the advanced mode you can choose Request.QueryString or Request.Form automaticly from a drop down or something, like you can when you create a Request.QueryString from the Data bindings panel&gt;Request.Variable

And maybe even some XML stuff... <img src=../images/dmxzone/forum/icon_smile.gif border=0 align=middle><img src=../images/dmxzone/forum/icon_smile_cool.gif border=0 align=middle><img src=../images/dmxzone/forum/icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle><img src=../images/dmxzone/forum/icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle><img src=../images/dmxzone/forum/icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle>

Just wish I could easily take a "snapshot" of all my sites so when Dreamy crashes and I have to reintall, I can easily save and later re-establish all my site info, FTP mappings, etc. There used to be an easy way to do this with version 1. Does anyone know how to do this with version 4?

Best,

I'd like to see a built in Shopping Cart system for ASP. (Well, all codes would be cool, JSP, CF, etc.)

Also, it would be nice if UD could create dynamic form validation pages. (Not just the JavaScript popups) but the ability to reload the page with highlighed required fields. (I know this is actually easy to do anyway, but I'm lazy) <img src=../images/dmxzone/forum/icon_smile_approve.gif border=0 align=middle>
